These past few weeks at 24-7 Employment Services, exciting things have been happening!

We are one of the finalists for the Gravesham Business Awards, and will be attending the awards ceremony on Friday the 6th of November, so check out our LinkedIn the week after to see more details about the event.

24-7 Employment Services – People are at the heart of this firm

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate the growth of our company while also meeting with local businesses and strengthen our team-working abilities. It’ll also be a fun night with, apparently, a DJ, magician, etc. A great way to network while enjoying a nice evening.

It is a pleasure to have been nominated, and we thank everyone who voted for us- you’re the reason why we’re here.

Additionally, we have officially started our promotion for permanent roles!

All roles below £45,000 per annum will have a cost of £1200 over 10 weeks- that’s only £120 per week. This means you can cancel anytime if you feel like the candidate isn’t working out for you, and you will only pay for the period they were working and we can go back to step one. If we don’t find anyone suitable?

Then you don’t pay anything!

Our CEO, Danielle Cassidy, found that cost was one of the biggest barriers to local businesses when using recruiters to fill permanent roles, so we have created this scheme to make our services more accessible to the businesses who need it most. Hopefully, this can help us help businesses find their perfect candidate while also getting our skilled candidates into work at roles which are perfect for them.

Roles over £45,000 per annum have a slightly increased cost of £1500 over the ten weeks, only £300 extra.

When we search for candidates, we do this a few ways:

• Creating an advertisement for the role on Reed and searching through applicants.
• Looking through the CVs we already have saved (which is why you should always send us your CV if your looking for something in particular!) to see if their a good fit.
• Searching through CVs on Reed or LinkedIn for someone who is a good fit for the role and is looking for a change.

This allows us to get a greater range of candidates which businesses might’ve never considered, while giving businesses a good deal.

It’s an exciting way to boost our permanent division while showing our competence to local businesses to potentially create working relationships. Hopefully, we can show off our skills soon!

Finally, in the last few weeks we have made all sorts of positive changes, pushing more of our routine work online. You might’ve seen some of these changes if you’ve registered recently or were already working with us:

• Our registration forms are online now. Of course, you still need to visit with your passport, but the longest part can now be done from the comfort of your own home.
• The holiday request form went life, making it much easier for candidates to request holiday; now all through a simple link instead of having to email in.
• The rise of WhatsApp. We haven’t forgotten the normal way of messaging, but using this instead has made communication much easier.
• The availability message. Once a week, candidates who we know are available receive a message asking what days they can work for the next week. This tells us in advance if there’s any days our candidates can’t work so we can better prepare when booking. If your registered and haven’t received this message, get in touch, as we might have a shift for you but have no idea when you can work.

Out of all the new people we’ve registered (and it’s a lot!), approximately 30% have started work or have been offered a shift. As we approach the Christmas period, we are expecting to get much busier, so we hope to start almost everyone when possible.
